There’s Probably a Permit for That…

What are you doing at the airport? If you are on ANC property providing a commercial service like a rideshare, operating a food truck or offering some other business, chances are you need a permit. Unless a lease, permit, or concession expressly authorized the person to operate the business, a person must hold a current Business Activity Permit issued before selling, offering for sale, or providing goods or services commercially anywhere on the Airport regardless of the duration of the activity. Contact Brandon Tucker in our leasing department for help acquiring your Business Activity Permit at brandon.tucker@alaska.gov.

Lose Something?

Whether it was in the terminal, our parking lot or on one of the trails on ANC property, lost items are logged in to our Lost and Found. Items are kept for approximately three months. If you believe you lost an item at ANC, please fill out an online claim at Lost & Found – Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ancairport.com).

Cell Phone Parking Lot:

Don’t quite know when your traveler will get their bags and be ready for pick-up? Utilize ANC’s lovely, FREE cell phone parking lot! The cellphone lot is conjoined with the DOT&PF Central Region Headquarters (the Upside-down building) parking lot – minutes away from ANC (did we mention it is FREE). Parked or idling vehicles at the curb present safety issues and traffic congestion. Additionally, parking in the garage is free for the first 30 minutes. Only vehicles conducting active loading/unloading should be at the curb. Click HERE for directions.

Lake Hood Seaplane Base:

Lake Hood is the world’s largest sea plane base, which means we have a plethora of small aircraft activity. Whether you are driving in a car, riding a bicycle, or pounding the pavement by foot, remember that all aircraft always have the right-of-way on the roadways, which in many places also double as taxiways. Please be sure to read all posted signage and follow the instructions. No people or pets are allowed on lake surfaces and all pets must be on a leash, this is for everyone’s safety.

Seasonal Travel:

In September we said good by to our seasonal airlines. We look forward to the having them all back next year.

Does your destination require masks, a COVID test, or proof of vaccination?

Travelers destined for locations that require proof of a negative test or a vaccination certificate must have their documentation with them prior to arriving at ANC. Boarding decisions are made by the individual airlines, not ANC. There is not a public testing site in the terminal. To find testing locations, visit https://anchoragecovidtest.org/.

Questions/Concerns/Comments:
