  1. ANC is Hosting a Job Fair: mark March 25 on your calendar!

Join ANC’s team of award-winning staff! ANC will host a job fair in the North Terminal from 10am-4pm on March 25, 2023. Parking will be validated for attendees.

Jobs available at ANC include: mechanic and electrician positions with Field Maintenance, general maintenance positions within Facilities, Environmental Program Manager position and an Airport Leasing Specialist 3 position in Administration.

Not only is ANC looking for new employees, but businesses that also support the airport are hiring. Positions at ANC under active recruitment efforts are posted online at www.JoinANC.com or through Local 71 at the following web addresses: local71.com/jobs. Both seasonal and full-time jobs are available.

  1. Parking Garage Rehabilitation Project:

Beginning March 20, ANC parking capacity will be reduced by approximately half. This means that parking will be exceedingly limited through the summer. Structural restoration, asphalt replacement and re-stripping must be completed. Travelers should allot extra time if they need to utilize parking at the airport. ANC encourages travelers to be dropped off or picked up instead of using parking. There are also off-site businesses that provide parking and shuttle services that should be considered.

March 20, 2023: Barricades will be placed to stop vehicles from parking on levels 3 & 4. All vehicles must vacate levels 3 & 4 by March 31, 2023, at 11:59pm. Beginning April 1, any remaining vehicles shall be towed. When work is completed for levels 3 & 4, levels 1 & 2 will undergo the same renovations. Please follow all construction information signs and drive safe.

  1. Changes to short term parking stay lengths:

Starting Wednesday, March 1, 2023, the South Terminal Parking Garage maximum length of stay will reduce from 30 days to 15 days.  In addition, the parking garage will not have a weekly discounted rate.

The North Terminal Customer Pay Lot maximum length of stay will increase from 10 days to 15 days and will have a weekly discounted rate.

  1. There’s Probably a Permit for That…

What are you doing at the airport? If you are on ANC property providing a commercial service or sharing a message to people traversing the airport, chances are you need a Business Activity Permit. To make sure you have the permit and information you need to appropriately operate at the airport, please contact Brandon Tucker in our leasing department for help at brandon.tucker@alaska.gov.

  1. Airport PFAS Testing:

The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities (DOT&PF) is working with Shannon & Wilson, Inc. (S&W) and the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) to identify and sample water supply wells potentially affected by PFAS near the ANC. Water supply well investigations and sampling are completed within the study area adjacent to the airport boundary, some results are still pending. Communications with households are underway regarding their individual results. Upon the completion of the sampling effort, DOT&PF’s PFAS program will produce a publicly available report that includes a map of sample locations and results.
