Airport Police & Fire
There is no such thing as a typical day at the office. ANC is home to one of the world’s most distinct public safety departments. Each of the men and women of the ANC Airport Police & Fire Department are multidiscipline first responders providing Police, Fire and Emergency Medical services.
More than 70 ANC Police & Fire Officers make up Alaska’s largest airport fire department and third largest police force, protecting over 10,000 airport employees and 5.7 million passengers.


Fire
One of the unique responsibilities of being an Airport Police and Fire officer is providing firefighting and rescue services in the event of an aircraft incident or accident at the airport.


Police
Airport Police and Fire officers are certified law enforcement officers in the State of Alaska. The Airport Police and Fire Department takes a special interest in serving the public and maintaining a customer-oriented environment.


EMS
The Airport Police and Fire Department provides basic emergency medical services to the public. Officers must be prepared to handle a wide variety of medical emergencies with grace and assurance.
