Ensuring the safety of travelers and staff at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport is a core responsibility of the Airport Police and Fire Department. Comprising certified law enforcement officers in Alaska, our department is dedicated to serving the public and fostering a customer-centric environment.

Our mission is to protect life and property by providing professional police, firefighting, and emergency medical services. We dedicate ourselves to the Alaskan community through honor, courage, and integrity.

To meet the diverse safety needs of the airport, specialized teams are deployed within the department. These teams, consisting of highly skilled officers selected on merit, include Investigations, Explosives Ordnance Disposal, K-9, Drug Interdiction, and Water Rescue.
